Our Story
Tong and Evan’s story began in the summer of 2021, shortly after Evan moved from Boston to Chicago. Introduced through mutual friends, they quickly bonded over their love for climbing and exploring the city. After a few months of friendship, Evan finally asked Tong out, and the rest is history.
Over the years, their shared love for travel and adventure has taken them around the world—from the streets of Kyoto to the flavors of Mexico City. Then, on a breathtaking trip to Scotland, Evan proposed on the cliffs, and Tong said yes!
Now, they call Chicago home, where they share a life filled with love, laughter, and their beloved dachshund, Jenny. They can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!

Travel
Our venue, Timber Cove Resort, is a stunning cliffside retreat on California’s Sonoma Coast.
To reach Timber Cove, we recommend flying into one of the nearby airports and renting a car for the scenic drive along the coast. The resort is approximately:
1 hour from Sonoma County Airport (STS)
2.5 hours from San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
As we get closer to the event date, we will be in touch with more transportation options (e.g., carpooling) to help make your trip as smooth as possible.
We’re thrilled to have our wedding at Timber Cove and even more excited to share this special weekend with you! To make this feel like a true getaway with our favorite people, we’ve reserved the entire resort from Friday through Sunday.
This means the whole place will be ours to enjoy together—think cozy evenings by the fire, exploring seaside trails, and soaking in the stunning ocean views (plus a wedding)!
We know that travel and accommodations can add up, and we want to make this celebration as accessible as possible for everyone. We’ve negotiated a significantly discounted rate for all rooms at the resort—we hope this makes joining us for our big day a little easier.
We will send out booking details in early 2026, but please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions in the meantime.

Yes! Timber Cove is dog-friendly. We will ask that you keep your pup in the room during the ceremony.

Yes! We love your little ones and are happy to have them join the celebration. When the time comes for booking, we’ll share details on room setups and any kid-friendly accommodations. If you’re considering bringing your bebe, just give us a heads-up—we’d really appreciate it!

Yes! We’ve reserved the entire resort so all our guests can stay together for the weekend. There are a variety of room options to accommodate different needs (e.g., double beds, extra beds for kids). The hotel requires a two-night stay (Friday to Sunday), and we truly appreciate everyone making a weekend of it with us!

Formal invitations and RSVP details will be sent out approximately 12 weeks before the wedding. However, if you know in advance that you won’t be able to join us (sad), we would be grateful if you could let us know as soon as possible.
