Timber Cove sits at the heart of one of California's most beautiful stretches of coastline. Here are a few of our favorite things to do while you're here.

At the Resort

  • The resort offers a full range of activities to enjoy between celebrations, from coastal hiking trails and oceanside fire pits to lawn games and board games. Link | Map

  • A coastal wine country concept that offers seasonal fare with clean, crisp presentations served amidst stunning ocean views.

    On Friday, the restaurant is open for dinner from 5–9 PM. If you’d like to dine there, please make a reservation. On Saturday, breakfast runs from 8–11 AM and lunch from 12–2 PM.

On the Way

  • A scenic bluff trail in Sonoma Coast State Park, with expansive Pacific views and a descent through coastal sage scrub to Russian Gulch Beach.  Link | Map

  • A sandy, easily accessible beach near the Russian River mouth, home to a colony of harbor seals. Picnic tables and restrooms on site. No dogs permitted. Link | Map

  • A picturesque town located in western Marin County, serving as a gateway to the natural splendor of Point Reyes National Seashore.   • The Boat Oyster Bar is a full-service, outdoor cafe at Hog Island Oyster Farm. They serve a light, seasonal menu of raw and BBQ’d oysters, salads, cheese + charcuterie boards and fresh seafood specials. Link | Map

  • A stunning stretch of rugged Sonoma coastline just a few miles north of the resort, with tide pools, dramatic rock formations, and miles of hiking trails through forests and open bluffs. Link | Map

  • A casual oceanview bar and grill just up the coast from the resort, serving American food with cocktails and sweeping views of the Pacific. Link | Map

  • A destination dining experience about 30 minutes north of the resort, with a seasonal farm to table Dining Room serving dinner, weekend brunch, and lunch Thursday through Friday. The Café is also on site for a more casual bite. Link | Map

  • Fifty miles of trails wind through the Sea Ranch shoreline, meadows, and forests about 30 minutes north of the resort, with coastal bluff walks, self-guided interpretive trails, and abundant wildlife including harbor seals, shorebirds, and the occasional whale sighting. Link | Map

  • A charming seasonal market held every Saturday from 9:30am to 12:30pm in Gualala, about 30 minutes north of the resort, featuring local produce, fresh flowers, baked goods, and handcrafted wares. Link | Map

  • A nondenominational architectural gem on the Sonoma Coast, the Sea Ranch Chapel offers a serene space for quiet reflection and sacred ceremonies. There are some trails on site as well. Link | Map

  • A beloved community arts center about 30 minutes north of the resort featuring rotating exhibits, live music, theater, and workshops, open daily 11am to 4pm. Link | Map

  • A beginner friendly kayak and canoe rental outfitter on the Gualala River, offering scenic paddles through redwood forests and sand dunes where the river meets the Pacific, about 30 minutes north of the resort. Link | Map
